How should I take my CBD?

When it comes to taking CBD, there are many options available. CBD can be taken orally, it can be smoked or vaped, or it can be applied topically. With so many options, how do we know which method is best? The answer may all depend on why you are using CBD to begin with.

The first option we will look at is taking CBD orally. This is done by dropping CBD oil under the tongue, and holding it for about 30 seconds before swallowing. This allows the CBD to absorb through your glands and into your bloodstream faster, usually delivering relief within 15-30 minutes. This is a great way to take CBD if you are using it as a daily dietary supplement or even as a casual user. It offers the second fastest delivery method and provides effective results!

The next option we will explore is eating/drinking your CBD. When you consume CBD this way, it absorbs through your digestive system rather than your glands. You can mix CBD into your regular food and drinks, or purchase pre-made edibles and gummies. When CBD absorbs through the digestive system, the process is delayed and often it can take over an hour before CBD begins to enter the bloodstream. It is an effective method but the slowest for CBD absorption. If you need faster relief, there's better options available. (Something to consider with gummies is they often contain high amounts of sugar and artificial ingredients. If you choose to regularly consume your CBD through gummies, there may be healthier, more effective options.)
